For the first time since COVID19 the Barra bus service will be up and running on Monday 21st December. Please see the timetables below. These run up to 25th March 2021.
Please note that this service does not accept dogs except guide dogs.
The service is run by a new operator, Aurora Trans Co. Their phone number is 0797 646 6007. We wish them every success in their new venture.
There will be no service on 25th and 26th December or 1st and 2nd of January
We've just yesterday come back to Edinburgh after 4 great days in Barra. We used your local bus service quite extensively during our visit (from airport, from/to Eriskay ferry, from/to Vatersay, and more!). Could we please say how much we enjoyed the service and how extremely friendly and helpful your driver Jonathan was. You have a great attitude to helping visitors, as well of course as being a necessity for the islanders themselves. Best wishes from Lilian and David.
